INDUSTRY INNOVATION LUNCH: IMPACT OF CHANGES IN THE CONSUMER COMPLIANCE REGULATORY LANDSCAPE
In a continuing effort to give participants increased opportunities to gain insight into technology advancements and vendor solutions, we are pleased to continue to provide our series of IIS’s. Hosted by some of the industry's leading solution providers, these 75-90 minute demonstrations and discussions are a great way for participants to maximize their learning experience. Sessions will take place during lunch, Thursday, May 10th and participants will be served lunch during the presentations.
Impact of Changes in the Consumer Compliance Regulatory Landscape
Since the credit crisis, there has been an escalating focus on consumer financial protection. This has included increased intensity of consumer compliance examinations, the passage of the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure (CARD) Act of 2009 and the introduction of Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (“Dodd-Frank Act”).
This session will focus on key regulatory matters including Fair Lending, Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices, (UDAAP). The session will also highlight emerging areas, such as the sale of ancillary products and the affidavit and notarization practices, which are receiving greater attention by the regulators. Additionally, participants will gain insights on tools and techniques to enhance their existing compliance program to more effectively manage the changing regulatory environment.
