International Bank of Commerce Picks Bancsource for ATM Service

PaymentsSource | Friday, January 11, 2013

Bancsource Inc. is handling first-line and second-line maintenance of International Bank of Commerce's 313 Diebold ATMs in Texas and Oklahoma.

The deal will help Bancsource expand its infrastructure in those states, which should benefit its other customers in the region, Walt Wasyliw, Bancsource CEO, said in a press release.

Still, the company already had strong presence in Texas and Oklahoma, a fact that helped persuade the bank to sign the agreement, Kevin Mullins, senior vice president of the Laredo, Texas-based International Bank of Commerce Electronic Services Division, said in a press release.

Mullins also cited the service provider's reputation and pricing as key elements of the bank's decision.

"We wanted someone to get outside the box with us as we move into a new environment in the banking world," he said in the release.

"IBC has a reputation of being very customer-oriented in their retail delivery services, and they see their ATM fleet as an extension of that philosophy," said Ron Bartley, executive vice president of sales for Republic, Mo.-based Bancsource.
