M&T Bank is offering customers custom check card designs for a $7.95 fee.
Through the new service launched this month, customers can select their own images for the front of their check cards, the $82.1 billion-asset company said Monday. They can use one of their own photos or choose from a gallery of more than 270 images provided by M&T, such as designs featuring the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.
Customers can also put their own thumbnail photo in the upper corner of their check card.
A demo of the design tool on M&T's website shows how customers can zoom, flip, rotate and crop the designs M&T offers. For example, customers that want to use a stock image of a ladybug can zoom in on the bug or reposition it so that it is not obscured by the writing on the card.
"Giving M&T customers more choices - from designing their own check card to banking on the go with our new mobile applications - allows consumers to create the type of banking experience that fits their own lifestyle," Darren King, executive vice president for retail banking at M&T Bank, said in a news release.
The $7.95 fee is charged at setup and is not charged again if the card needs to be replaced.
