U.S. Bank has released a new app on Apple’s App Store called Go Mobile. The app lets iPhone, iPod and iPad users apply for the bank’s FlexPerks Visa card and use and manage the account on their mobile device. (The bank also mails a physical card to customers, so they can use it at retailers that don’t accept Visa payWave mobile payments.) The program lets customers earn one point for every dollar they spend on the card.
The Go Mobile app also accommodates mobile payments.
The app lets customers apply for and use the bank’s Go Mobile Payment Service, which is linked to its FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature card. Customers that qualify for this program will receive a U.S. Bank Go Mobile Case that enables an iPhone to make contactless payments at payWave-compatible retailers. The Go Mobile Payment Service works with the iPhone 4 or 4S.
