Annie Sebastian
SVP of Credit Cards and Business Optimization, Navy Federal Credit Union

Annie joined Navy Federal in May of 2007 and quickly rose in her career from Marketing Research and Strategy, to Membership, and currently Credit Cards and Education Lending. In Marketing, Annie lead a team of analysts in research, development, implementation and analysis of both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns, subsequently coordinating across five business lines to understand the needs and interests of members and improve offer response rate and cost effectiveness. Annie then switched gears to develop a new division in Membership dedicated to increasing productive membership growth for the organization. She was then promoted to VP of Membership leading all operations and strategy. During her tenure, her team more than doubled Navy Federal’s membership size, surpassing all annual targets. In her current role as SVP of Credit Cards and Education Lending, Annie is responsible for driving product innovation, profitability, and risk management of the 12th largest credit card portfolio by outstanding balances among US issuers. She also leads Navy Federal's education lending, payment protection and insurance products, and training teams.

Prior to joining Navy Federal, Annie worked at Callahan & Associates and Kirkland & Ellis LLP in both research analytics and litigation. Annie attended University of Virginia, securing a B.A. in foreign affairs, then went on to Trinity College Dublin where she earned her Master of Philosophy with a concentration in microfinance. Originally from the Chicago area, Annie is married with two children and a golden retriever and enjoys traveling, reading, boating and dancing.
