Bob Highland
Managing Director, Business Development and Payment Networks, Barclaycard US

Bob Highland is the Head Business Development for Barclaycard US, responsible for all new partnership efforts as well as the management Barclaycard US’ relationship with the payment networks. He has led the company’s efforts to sign partnerships with brands like Uber, JetBlue, Williams-Sonoma, Hawaiian Airlines, UPromise, Wyndham and Choice hotels.

Prior to joining Barclaycard in 2008, Bob spent eight years with American Express. He served as Vice President of OPEN Savings, responsible for all aspects of the program including partner management, program marketing and strategy. Prior to that role, Bob served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances where he was responsible for the development of OPEN's co-brand, agent banking and alternative distribution strategy. Other roles included Director of Partner Marketing in North America for the Travelers Cheques & Prepaid Services Group, and work with the Establishment Services Group, which focused on merchant acquisitions and contract negotiations.

Before joining American Express, Bob was a sales executive for almost 10 years, at FedEx and Thomson Learning. Bob holds an M.B.A. and B.S. from the Paul W. Stillman School of Business and Seton Hall University.

Bob serves on Advisory Boards for the Leadership Development program at Seton Hall University.
