John Thomas
EVP & Head of U.S. Payments & Data Strategy, TD Bank

John has 25+ years of experience in various service businesses, including marketing, advertising, technology and financial services. As a seasoned GM, product and business development executive, he has built and managed numerous new businesses and product lines inside of multiple multi-national companies. He has launched award-winning services products, overseen leading marketing campaigns, and built numerous partnerships in the areas of digital advertising, consumer and business payments, financial services product marketing, and consumer technology and marketplaces.

John is responsible for US Payments and US Data Strategy at TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank. He came to TD Bank from Amazon, where he oversaw product, marketing, engineering, user design, business development and operations for a new business line. Prior to Amazon, John was the Global General Manager of the Digital Business Group at hibu PLC, an international media and advertising company. At hibu, he oversaw website manufacturing, search marketing, digital display and video advertising businesses, as well as the business incubation unit where he launched new payments, loyalty, and affinity businesses. John also has over 20 years of banking experience in R&D, payments, cards, and commercial lending at numerous companies including MBNA and Bank of America.
