Leslie McNamara
Managing Director and EVP, Head of Business and Market Development, Citi Retail Services

Leslie McNamara is Managing Director and EVP, Head of Business and Market Development for Citi Retail Services, a leading provider of private label and co-branded consumer and commercial credit card products across the U.S. Retail Services also provides retail industry expertise, including transaction data analytics, and fully integrated marketing and loyalty programs. The business services millions of accounts for many iconic brands, including Best Buy, ExxonMobil, Macy's, Sears, Shell, and The Home Depot, among others.

Ms. McNamara has been in her current role since August 2011, providing strategic direction and oversight for Citi’s retail and oil partner private label and co-brand card programs for portfolios consisting of more than $40 billion in managed assets. She also heads up the company’s Field Sales and Merchant Services organizations, providing day to day sales and processing support for her clients’ retail locations.

In her previous role as Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. McNamara created a centralized marketing strategy and planning organization for Citi Retail Services. Under her leadership, she built an integrated team bringing broad intellectual capital and deep retail finance expertise to all partners; she was also responsible for launching new vertical marketing competencies such as Loyalty, Digital and Data/Insight Services.
She was named to this position in November 2008 while still holding her previous role
of General Manager for the Sears/Kmart relationship.

From 2006–2009, Ms. McNamara led the Sears relationship, which was a period that included the heart of the economic crisis and sweeping regulatory change for the credit industry. Her tenure marked a time of intense collaboration between Citi and Sears to ensure new customer underwriting and pricing that enabled program continuity and success for both parties.

Ms. McNamara joined Citi in early 2002, holding positions of increasing responsibility in Partner Management, Marketing and Customer Engagement. Her financial services experience is rooted in consumer lending, business development and marketing, with a concentration in cards and payment products. Her former employers include CoreStates Financial Corp, Mellon Bank, Qwest Interactive, and Proctor & Gamble.

Ms. McNamara is a winner of Citi’s Senior Excellence in Leadership Award and is active in the firm’s women’s leadership initiatives. An accomplished speaker, she frequently presents on industry issues and trends.
