Pawan Khandavilli1

Pawan Khandavilli is the director of security and innovation at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). With labs in Toronto, San Francisco, London, Luxembourg, New York and Orlando, RBC is partnering with a diverse set of players, including startups & academia, to access and drive emerging trends.

In his current role, Khandavilli works with various startups and universities to bring the best of these technologies into the bank. Before taking on the role of Director at RBC, he was a senior solution engineer and was instrumental in building RBC's mobile payment solutions.

Prior to joining RBC, Khandavilli worked for Bellid (now acquired by Rambus technologies), where he helped build the mobile payment solutions platform focused on Host Card Emulation.

He earned his master’s degree in Computer Science degree from Dalhousie University located in Halifax, Canada with a focus on near feld communication security protocols.
