ACA International yesterday named Al Zezulinski, executive vice president at NCO Group, as the winner of the association's annual Member of the Year Award. The honor is given to an ACA member chosen as having done the most for the collection and credit industry in the past year.
According to ACA officials, Zezulinski "carries the industry message and brings sensitivity to the concerns of all members, regardless of market segment, size or years of service. He has committed thousands of hours to the promotion of the industry before lawmakers, attorneys general and state regulators..."
Zezulinski serves on the ACA Board of Directors and is a member of ACA's Asset Buyers Division.
"He has opened doors for ACA that would have otherwise remained closed. He has found ACA seats at the table alongside attorneys general and FTC commissioners that would have otherwise gone empty. All of this great work is done with the utmost degree of professionalism, grace, talent and drive," according to ACA.
He also has served as a committee member of the association's Medical Debt Task Force, Asset Buyer Division Committee and Task Force on Self-Regulation, as well as the Mid-Atlantic Collectors Association Unit Leadership Committee.
ACA International is the largest association representing the collection industry. The Member of the Year Award was announced at ACA's 71st Annual Convention and Exposition in Washington, D.C.
NCO Group is the largest U.S. collection agency based on revenue, according to Collections & Credit Risk.
