HONOLULU – Aloha Pacific FCU offered its member some relief from rising gas prices yesterday--a new Affinity Card which provides a five-cents per gallon discount to members at 80 Aloha Petroleum locations.
Members must apply for an Aloha Petroleum gas card. Once approved, they will receive a co-branded card to use at the pump and automatically receive the discount. The Affinity Card has no annual or issuance fee for members.
The credit union's card program is being offered in conjunction with Aloha Petroleum. If the credit union membership buys 20,0001 gallons or more per month, an additional one-cent discount per gallon will be given, and the discount will double to two cents if 40,001 gallons or more is bought.
The credit union, the state's third largets, was formerly known as Honolulu City & County Employees FCU.
