Apple Inc. is preparing to launch a service called Apple Pay Cash in Europe, adding momentum to the technology company's P-to-P service.

Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple on Aug. 31 filed a trademark application with European Union intellectual property authorities describing Apple Pay Cash as software used to process mobile payments, according to reports.
Apple Pay Cash likely will be integrated with Apple’s iMessage platform when iOS 11 is released later this month, observers say.

To send cash, Apple device users may authenticate the transaction via Touch ID or possibly by facial authentication rumored to be included with the upcoming iPhone 8, reports suggest.
