At least 78% of Australian consumers say they will not use mobile phones to pay bills, bank or shop according to survey findings from United States-based Unisys Corp., a security-systems vendor. The firm surveyed 1,201 consumers over the age of 18 in March. Only 7% of Australian consumers have used mobile phones to pay bills or shop, the survey found. About one-third of the respondents said mobile-phone transactions are not secure, while only 5% considered mobile-phone payment secure.
