Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Ltd. has inked a deal to process transactions for Cash Plus Australia Pty Ltd., which operates a network of nonbank ATMs in Australia, the Australia-based bank announced May 3. The Cash Plus network includes 160 ATMs deployed in high-traffic locations in Australia.
Under the agreement, Bendigo will acquire Cash Plus ATM transactions and rebrand at least 100 Cash Plus machines using the bank’s brand.
The agreement also will increase to 1,100 the number of ATMs where Bendigo’s cardholders may access their accounts surcharge free, according to Greg Devlin, Bendigo’s head of access and payment systems.
Bendigo continues to grow its ATM network through a deal with Suncorp Bank Ltd. The two banks struck an agreement in December to create a combined ATM network 1,600 machines (see story).
Officials from Bendigo and Cash Plus did not respond to requests for comment.
