Realex Payments, a division of Global Payments, has signed a three-year deal to process e-commerce and call-center transactions for insurance provider Aviva.

Aviva has integrated its systems with London-based Realex, which will provide an account structure for Aviva to manage payments from all brands and channels through a single interface.

As part of the agreement, Realex will also provide custom reporting and fraud management through transaction screening and pattern checking tools that help flag suspicious transactions.

"Realex Payments has been established in the insurance sector for many years," Gary Conroy, managing director of Realex Payments, stated in a June 22 press release. "This deal further demonstrates Aviva and Realex Payment's commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience."

Atlanta-based Global Payments in March agreed to acquire payment gateway Realex Payments as part of its expansion plans for Europe. At the time, Realex was processing more than $30 billion (28 billion euros) in payments, with clients in 30 countries.
