Barclaycard US on Sept. 1 announced the launch of the NFL Extra Points Visa cobranded credit card bearing the logo of any of the National Football League’s 32 teams.
The card, which carries no annual fee, enables consumers to earn rewards on all purchases redeemable for NFL merchandise, game tickets and NFL-related experiences. Cardholders are also eligible for a 20% discount on purchases through the NFL’s website at NFLShop.com.
Barclaycard is marketing the card through the NFL’s website, at stadium displays and through e-mail and direct-mail solicitations, the issuer said.
Barclaycard earlier this year announced it would take over the NFL credit card program when Bank of America Corp. discontinued its NFL-themed card after a 15-year run (see story).
