Bento for Business has added Visa to its purchasing card platform for small and midsize businesses.

Bento launched its prepaid commercial debit card product with Mastercard in 2015, and its platform also now supports Visa business debit cards, the company announced this week.

The move follows Bento’s rollout last year of tools enabling small and midsize businesses to manage employee expenses and payments through multilevel administration, virtual card management and the addition of APIs to streamline its integration with partners, the company said in a press release.

“We are confident that working with Visa will strengthen and accelerate our mission to bring a complete financial operating platform to the underserved SMB market and help these businesses to unlock the fullest potential of their working capital,” said Farhan Ahmad, Bento’s CEO, in the release.

“The Bento solution will evolve how Visa Business cardholders and merchants manage expenses and gain insights into their cash flow and financial management activities,” said David Simon, global head of small and medium enterprises at Visa, in the release.

Bento raised $9 million last year in a funding round headed by Edison Partners, bringing its total funding to date to around $18 million.
