Cardlytics, which provides targeted offers to debit card users, is offering a similar technology designed for credit card portfolios, the company announced May 16.

Atlanta-based Cardlytics uses its bank clients' transaction data to place offers within consumers' online-banking view.

With the credit card version, Cardlytics' clients also can offer deals through email and mobile apps, Rod Witmond, Cardlytics' senior vice president of product management and marketing, said in an interview.

"It's all about really leveraging the lessons learned [from debit cards]," he said.
