Wincor Nixdorf International GmbH Monday announced that it is offering cash recycling with its self-checkout systems. The Tower Line 150 first authenticates the number of bank notes and coins deposited into the system and later dispenses the money as change to other customers, Wincor Nixdorf says. "This drastically reduces the high expenses associated with counting, sorting and transporting cash," the company says. "Furthermore, stores will be able to cut the volume of change held in storage for replenishment purposes and the frequency of change for replenishment." Wincor Nixdorf will present The Tower Line 150 at the 2008 Retail Solutions trade fair in London beginning today and ending 28 June. Paderborn, Germany-based Wincor Nixdorf is the world's second-largest manufacturer of ATMs based on 2007 shipments.
