JPMorgan Chase & Co. today announced enhanced rewards for checking-account customers who also hold Chase Freedom credit cards. The Chase Exclusives program provides Chase checking customers with better rates, bigger discounts and more rewards for a variety of financial products. Besides one reward point per dollar Chase checking customers spend with their Chase Freedom cards, the issuer will add 10% more points per dollar spent and 10 bonus points per purchase. The enhanced reward means customers who spend about $25 per purchase amounting to an average of $500 per month on their Chase Freedom credit cards will earn about $90 per year compared with $60 per year if they do not also have a Chase checking account. Chase did not respond to a request for comment by CardLine's deadline. But in the announcement, Scott Powell, head of Chase consumer banking, called the program "one more way to thank customers for doing more business with Chase."
