Citi Commercial Cards had introduced CitiManager Mobile, a smartphone-optimized version of CitiManager, the institution's desktop portal for corporate cardholders.
Cardholders will be able to access their accounts, view statements and track new transactions from mobile devices including Windows Phone, iPhone, Android and Blackberry. The mobile app will be available in 22 languages and will include the core functions from the desktop portal.
"Because it is available to cardholders in over 20 languages in over 50 countries, CitiManager Mobile sets us apart from our competitors and allows our cardholders to continue experiencing an offering that is truly global," said Naveed Sultan, Citi's global head of treasury and trade solutions, in a release.
For U.S. companies, Citi allows cardholders to pay outstanding balances on their Citi Commercial Card accounts through CitiManager Mobile. Citi's launch of the CitiManager Mobile site comes within a year of the launch of Citi's global Citi Commercial Cards Alerts, which provides about three dozen email and SMS alerts.
The new release allows follows a year of tech work and testing of mobile payment technology for corporate and commercial card clients as Citi looks to serve travellers and other business users that don't always have access to a PC.
"The launch of CitiManager Mobile is a significant milestone for us," said Sultan in the release.
