Clearent, a Clayton, Mo.-based card processor, is offering a new application status report that gives the company’s sales partners insight into the status of their merchant applications after they are submitted. Partners always know where their applications stand, saving valuable time.

Clearent created the feature in response to a problem that has plagued independent sales organizations and sales agents—being kept in the dark on the status of new applications as they make their way through the underwriting and boarding process, Clearent said in a press release.

The report is powered by detailed statuses that show whether an application is in underwriting, pending, or approved and getting its terminal setup. Sales representatives can see the progress of the applications, including notes from the ISO’s underwriting or operations teams.

If an application is pending, the screen tells why and which information is needed to resolve the issue. And agents can upload the required information directly from the screen, eliminating the need to fax or email the documents separately, the release said.

“We are excited to launch this new tool which will save our sales partners time and give them the confidence of knowing where every application stands,” said Clearent CEO Dan Geraty. “This will be a true advantage for our partners, and will definitely make their lives easier.”
