CurveNorth Inc., a Silverado, Calif.-based company that makes operation-management software for independent sales organizations and acquirers, has added the merchant-screening service from CoreLogic Inc.’s CredCo division to its offerings, CoreLogic says Oct. 5.
ISOs and acquirers that use CurveNorth’s Merchant-Flo software to manage electronic merchant applications, workflow processes, merchant management and recurring revenue management now also may use CoreLogic’s OneCheck merchant-screening service to evaluate various aspects of prospective merchants, says Kevin Clements, CoreLogic senior vice president of business development for merchant services.
OneCheck draws upon a variety of sources, such as credit reports and criminal-background checks, to produce a report that can generate credit scores for individual applicants and businesses, Clement says.
“Integration of the OneCheck suite of data is vital to ISOs making fully informed business decisions about the merchants that they elect to board into their customer base and represent to the processors,” Clements tells PaymentsSource. “Putting forward questionable merchants to the processors is not in their best interest.”
The cost to use the service varies depending on which elements an ISO uses, he says. CoreLogic is based in Santa Ana, Calif.
