HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 2008--DataCert, Inc., the leading provider of legal and IP spend and matter management solutions, announced today that DHL has chosen DataCertâs Advanced Invoice Management System (AIMS) to help the worldwide express delivery and logistics company simplify the legal invoice payment process and control its legal spend.
âDHL selected AIMS for its ability to provide a substantial return on investment both financially and operationally,â said Jon Olin, general counsel, Americas, DHL. âThe actionable metrics produced by AIMS will help us develop an in-depth understanding of our legal spend and drive strategic business decisions regarding law department operations.â
Using DataCertâs legal spend management software, DHLâs law firms and vendors can submit invoices in an electronic format. Line items that do not comply with DHLâs corporate billing guidelines will be corrected or flagged for further review. AIMS will also guide each invoice through designated workflows and approval postings, creating a legal spend database.
This reportable database of comprehensive legal spend data will give DHLâs legal department the ability to analyze, forecast and reduce future spend.
âDHL has the foresight to expect not only short-term benefits from AIMS - such as the elimination of paper bills - but also long-term benefits such as the identification of billing trends, the strengthening of outside counsel relationships and the recognition of year-to-year cost reductions,â commented Eric M. Elfman, DataCertâs president and CEO. âWe are excited to partner with DHL as they begin this initiative.â
