     BERWYN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21, 2008--Dollar Financial Corp (NASDAQ:DLLR - News), a leading international financial services company serving under-banked consumers, today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a stock repurchase plan, authorizing the Company to repurchase in the aggregate up to $7.5 million of its outstanding common stock, which is the maximum amount of common stock the Company can repurchase pursuant to the terms of its credit facility.
     Jeff Weiss, the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are confident in our long-term growth strategy and believe our strong balance sheet provides ample cash to finance our various growth initiatives.      Under the program authorized by its Board of Directors, the Company may repurchase shares in open market purchases or through privately negotiated transactions as permitted under Securities Exchange Act of 1934 Rule 10b?18. The extent to which the Company repurchases its shares and the timing of such repurchases will depend upon market conditions and other corporate considerations, as determined by the Company’s management. The purchases will be funded from existing cash balances.
