Dwolla links clients and partners to diversify tech options
Dwolla is quickly adding to its product line by arranging for clients to connect directly to the payment company's third party collaborators.
The Dwolla Partner Ecosystem allows access to service providers for international payments, bank verification, development resources and other services.
New partners to the Dwolla Partner Ecosystem are Currencycloud, TransferMate and We Write Code, a software development company. Additional partnerships are being vetted and negotiated.
Dwolla has recently focused on providing ACH transfer services to businesses, after years of developing mobile payment capabilities and working with banks to deliver faster payments.
The partner ecosystem adds to a Dwolla platform that focuses on a white-label payments API, an on-ramp to the Automated Clearing House Network. Dwolla has previous partnerships with Plaid, which establishes a token exchange as a bank account verification tool, and Sift, which delivers machine learning as a fraud prevention tool.
Since going to market with its ACH-optimized API in 2015, Dwolla reports it has attracted startups and larger businesses that want to create more efficient payments.
"Many of these companies are at an early stage of their payments journey and need the right payments provider backing them from the start in order to allow for rapid and systematic expansion," Dwolla product marketing manager Genny Couch wrote in a company blog.
