Chip-testing provider Fime America has developed an EMV chip migration consulting package designed for the U.S. payments industry, which is migrating to the EMV standards.

"Introducing a new payment infrastructure in the U.S. is a significant undertaking," because U.S. companies "are in various stages of implementation and many are striving to meet the October 2015 fraud liability shift deadlines," says Xavier Giandominici, director of Fime America, in an April 22 press release.

Fime has introduced similar EMV chip migration packages that educate users about the system and its successful implementation, in the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and elsewhere in North America.

Fime's packages offer various customizable features including training events and workshops for internal migration project staff, analysis of the migration impact on processes, and the option to build a complete EMV chip technology roadmap.

Fime has also built a contactless payments testing system for Discover, and has worked with Visa to test mobile payments technology.
