Forbes Media signed a licensing agreement with Lotaris that will allow the Swiss technology company the rights to the name Forbes Digital Commerce.
Forbes Digital Commerce is a subsidiary of the publishing company Forbes that sells services to business-to-business and business-to-consumer payment companies. Lotaris is a global payment services provider that leverages hosted technology to support payments and advertising across channels and payment methods.
Through existing cooperation with Lotaris, Forbes Digital Commerce has partnered with Microsoft to provide e-commerce services for Windows and Windows Phone stores. It also provides mobile payment services to Symantec and Capcom.
The new agreement is designed to add Forbes' recognizable name to Lotaris' payments technology sales efforts. "This licensing arrangement allows us to extend and leverage the Forbes brand and step solidly toward the future," says Mike Federle, chief operating officer of Forbes Media, in a Feb. 24 press release.
