Global Payments and edo have started a pilot program to integrate edo's card-linked offer product with Global Payments’ marketing services.

The goal of the partnership is to create merchant-focused loyalty offers for Global Payments' customers.

Edo's system allows merchants to provide instantly redeemable offers tailored to customers' shopping habits. The offers are automatically credited to the user's credit or debit card account when they make a purchase at the point of sale.

The edo Marketplace also gives Global Payments access to more than 200 million cardholders across more than 200 banks.

"Through our relationship with edo, our customers will have the opportunity to gain a powerful new capability for driving sales, as well as access to unmatched data, targeting and insight-driven tools," said Sid Singh, senior vice president and global product head at Global Payments, in a release.

Other processors, such as Heartland Payment Systems, are also partnering with smaller companies to provide marketing and special offers.
