Google has upgraded Google Wallet to allow shoppers to automatically track their online orders.
The upgraded Android and iOS wallet apps, which arrive this week for the U.S. market, will provide shipping information sent directly to a user's Gmail account after the user selects a new "orders" button. The user can view any receipt sent to the Gmail account from within the app, the company states in its Google Wallet Google+ page.
Users can view products ordered, merchant contact information and shipping details through the orders feature. In addition, Google says users can call or e-mail the retailer through a single click.
Google says it has teamed with major package carriers in the U.S. to allow customers to be notified through the app when an order status is updated.
Google released its Google Wallet app for the Apple iOS system in September 2013.
