Financial services technology provider Jack Henry & Associates has made several promotions among its senior management staff in preparation for the company president's retirement.
After 34 years as Jack Henry's president, Tony Wormington is retiring on July 1. He will be succeeded by David Foss, who is the current president of Jack Henry's ProfitStars division.
Russ Bernthal will take over management of ProfitStars. In his new role, Bernthal will assume operational and development responsibilities for ProfitStars products. Bernthal, who joined Jack Henry in 2005 when the company acquired Tangent Analytics, most recently served as ProfitStars' software solutions group president.
Meanwhile, Greg Adelson was promoted to general manager of payments. This move consolidates all of Jack Henry's payment processing solutions under one unit, the Monett, Mo., company says in a June 17 press release.
Lastly, Dennis Gorges was named general manager of enterprise risk management. Gorges joined Jack Henry 19 years ago as a compliance and internal audit manager, and the department has grown from one individual to 19 during his tenure.
"Russ, Greg and Dennis have all exhibited strong leadership qualities complimented by their extensive industry knowledge which led us to these promotions," says Jack Prim, chairman and CEO of Jack Henry & Associates, in the release. "We're excited about the new focus and commitment to these areas of our business."
