Japan-based card firm JCB Co. Ltd. has signed a deal with The Walt Disney Co. (Japan) Ltd. to issue a cobranded credit card and market Disney products, the two companies said Monday. The card is "Japan's first Disney-branded credit card," the statement says. Cardholders will have access to Disney events and Internet content from Disney. JCB will run Disney-themed promotions. JCB says it will begin accepting card applications in August from "selected customers." Other consumers will be able to apply on 18 Nov. JCB says it has nearly 59.8 million card customers.
