Mozido LLC is providing a Coca-Cola bottler in Mexico with a mobile payment system for storeowners to use to pay for deliveries of soft drinks.
Bepensa Bebidas will use Mozidos mVault business-to-business mobile payment app when making deliveries to its customers throughout southeast Mexico, the Austin-based white-label mobile services provider says.
A vast majority of storeowners accepting Cola shipments pay the drivers in cash, Mozido says. MVault, which has a consumer payment option as well, will help Bepensa eliminate cash-handling logistics and reduce cash losses, the company states.
"Mozido's mVault and mobile consumer engagement capabilities will revolutionize cash payments and personalized marketing for our industry, Armando Rivero, vice president of corporate services for Bepensa, states in a Mozido press release.
Mozidos software will allow consumer-packaged goods companies like Bepensa to provide payment services to their primary distribution channels of small and medium independent retailers, Rivero adds.
Bepensa will also benefit from Mozidos marketing and business management software, the company says.
Mozido plans to expand its mobile pay system for independent stores in Mexico through partnerships with existing networks.
Mozido, which also has offices in Dallas, New York City, Mexico and Jamaica, plans to provide domestic and international payments, person-to-person payments, loyalty programs and targeted marketing services throughout Mexico.
"Mozido is committed to using our mobile solutions to provide better services to people of all economic levels, Mozido founder Michael Liberty states in the release.
We are especially thrilled to work with Bepensa to provide valuable financial services and marketing promotions to the many people and small business in Mexico without bank accounts through the convenience of their mobile phones," Liberty adds.
