NCR Corp. has updated its transaction processing solution, Authentic, with features such as a browser-based point of sale and card management interface.
Authentic is an EFT authorization and routing system that services ATM, point of sale, e-commerce and mobile transactions, among others. NCR offers Authentic through its Alaric unit.
The new version adds a Web-service import utility that automates the configuration of Authentics core components like Message Mapper, facilitating the addition of code to traditional payment systems and improving ease of use and time-to-market.
"We are committed to providing our customers with a modern, flexible payments infrastructure that will grow with them and enable them to respond to any demands the business places on them," said Steve Nogalo, vice president and general manager of payments solutions at NCR, in a May 7 press release. "With the latest version of Authentic, we have incorporated the flexibility of the Google Web Toolkit, as well as providing new features and enhancements to further improve usability and flexibility."
NCR has also implemented new user authentication and cryptographic services to meet the demands of the Payment Application Data Security Standard 3.0. These features enhance security when accessing sensitive data.
