NCR Corp. has updated its NCR Silver point of sale system for iPad, adding features that allow a small business to grow including support for multiple locations.

Owners can now manage reports across all their locations, viewing consolidated sales data while still singling out individual locations for more site-specific details. 

Warsaw, Ind.-based, Sportula, which sells athletic team-branded barbecue sets and other kitchen items, has 16 locations that use NCR Silver.

"I have one view and it is easy to see reports from one store to another with one easy click," says Sportula's Rachid Aitmbarek in a Nov. 14 press release. "It saves me a lot of time and helps me to stay on top of managing all of my stores and be in the know."

Version 3.0 of NCR Silver also allows business owners to set user roles, such as manager or cashier, and the permissions assigned to these roles. This gives owners the ability to grant or limit access to discounts, voids, tip adjustments and returns. 

The cloud-based NCR Silver runs on Apple devices and allows employees to ring up sales and take payments from anywhere in the store. The system collects data on customer purchases.  There's also an updated system to allow owners to export timesheets for payroll.

NCR Small Business, which comes with the system, provides business owners with seven-day live support. It also supports Silver Sidewalk, a community portal where NCR Silver customers can interact with one another.
