Nets is introducing a service in Finland and Sweden giving consumers an instant-credit option enabling them to opt to pay later for purchases.

The Norwegian company's service, which leverages technology from a fintech company called Mash, echoes Sweden’s Klarna product, which is spread globally and provides instant customer onboarding and credit approval at participating merchants, according to a Friday press release.

Customers will receive an invoice within 14 days of the purchase with the option to pay the balance in full or choose monthly installment payments, according to the release. Nets plans to expand the service to Denmark and Norway eventually.

“For both merchants and consumers, our partnership with Mash underscores our ability to offer the largest selection of payments in the Nordics,” said Asgar Hattel, Nets’ group executive vice president, said in the release.
