NMI, which provides payments gateway services for resellers of payment services, has purchased U.K.-based Creditcall to expand its EMV and contactless capabilities so it can support retail, e-commerce, mobile and unattended payments through a single platform.

Creditcall, based in Bristol, England, is an EMV kernel provider with an omnichannel payment gateway, and Roselle, Ill.-based NMI will gain a global presence by incorporating its services, according to a Tuesday press release.

“The payment technology requirements of today’s merchants are more complex than ever—they need to accept and process payments in all sales channels and environments,” Roy Banks, NMI’s chief executive, said in the release.

“We are excited to join forces with NMI as our solutions are highly complementary and will create a unique payment technology company,” Lars Pedersen, Credicall’s CEO, said in the release.

The combined company will represent more than $45 billion in annual payment volume, based on 165 processor integrations. The companies did not disclose terms of the deal.
