Information technology firm Infosys and digital payments company Payveris have partnered on a new service for bill payment and money management for credit union and community bank customers.

The two will support person-to-person transactions and interbank transfers as well as providing bill payment and other cloud-based services, the companies said in a press release.

"To succeed in a highly competitive and fast changing banking environment, community financial institutions today seek a modern, real-time banking platform that can offer speed, flexibility and ability to run operations efficiently,” said Michael Reh, chief executive of Infosys subsidiary EdgeVerve.

In June, Payveris announced a separate deal with the credit union support company EPL on an electronic bill payment product.
