Danish payments manager Pensio and London-based fraud prevention provider ReD have partnered to offer a fraud screening service to Pensio's merchant clients.
Pensio's products include processing and reconciliation, with clients in the Nordics, Europe, Asia and the U.S. Pensio will integrate the ReD Shield fraud prevention tool to produce a service that uses rules based on the retailer's sector and another service that uses a customized set of tailored rules for individual companies.
"As we expand our global presence, it's vital that we have the right fraud protection in place to protect or business," says David Hobson, e-commerce director at LN-CC, a London-based retailer that specializes in music and clothing, in a Jan. 17 press release. LN-CC is the first client Pensio and ReD identified as using their integrated fraud product.
ReD, formerly known as Retail Decisions, recently upgraded Red Shield by integrating with White Pages Pro, which matches information such as a consumer's name, address and age to a database of phone numbers. It also provides information on whether an address is vacant and if a phone number is a non-fixed VoIP line.
