PEX Card now offers PEX Mobile, the corporate prepaid card company’s suite of iOS and Android applications, to allow card administrators access to their programs through a smartphone.
Administrators can use PEX Mobile, launched today, to operate expense control functions and cash management functions with their mobile device.
“Given the fact the economy is forcing business owners to leave their desk and work out in the field, the mobile suite of apps becomes a logical extension,” says Toffer Grant, founder and CEO of PEX Card.
While PEX Card’s expense management Web application could be accessed from a smartphone or tablet, the interface wasn’t designed for a small screen, Grant says. And with many administrators working from their smartphones on the job site, the mobile apps were necessary for PEX Card’s customers.
The company created the suite for small and medium-sized businesses, especially for quickly-changing and largely mobile businesses such as fleet vehicle services, looking for mobile tools to manage cash flow remotely.
PEX Mobile enables administrators to free up funds faster to employees for business expenses, suspend employee card use, set restrictions and limitations on spending, review cardholder transactions and review the company’s card program.
“Because we help people save time and help drive efficiencies in day-to-day functions through the mobile app, it gives the adoption [of PEX Mobile] much more emphasis since customers can use it in business,” Grant says.
PEX Card is based in New York City. Its prepaid card is issued by Bancorp Bank.
