Pivotal Payments changes name to Nuvei to reflect partnership community
Emphasizing its work with various partners in the payments industry as its key to success, Pivotal Payments says it has changed its brand name to Nuvei.
The Montreal-based payment processing technology provider notes the name change helps it reflect the creation of a "community of payment experts."
"Our ability to connect and collaborate with our partners makes us who we are," Philip Fayer, chairman and CEO of Nuvei, said in a Tuesday press release. "It’s our commitment to their success that makes us valuable. They fuel our brand."
Nuvei will provide services and support for independent sales organizations, independent software vendors, payment facilitators, app developers and e-commerce platforms.
The company offers single-platform access to omnichannel payments, integrated solutions and a payment facilitation platform. The rebrand also merges the company’s corporate arm with its GlobalOnePay division. The integration of both teams supports the business’ strategic needs, the company said.
Nuvei has more than 400 employees, 1,500 partners and services and more than 50,000 merchant clients. In 2017, the company entered into a strategic investment agreement with private equity firm Novacap and Canadian pension fund manager Caisse de dépôt et placement du Quebec.
