NCR announced Monday that Indianapolis-based Salin Bank has chosen to install its video ATMs at its bank branches and drive-throughs.
The benefits of those Aptra Interactive Teller machines are apparent: Keep your customer service running longer, and serve your customers in more places.
"The efficiency and security created through the centralization of tellers enables Salin Bank to transform its branch locations into more effective service and sales environments," said Michael O'Laughlin, NCR's senior vice president of financial services, in a press release.
Salin Bank was coy about how many video ATMs it has actually installed. NCR spokesman Jeff Dudash said the bank does not want to give a specific number. But the devices have been installed in the lobby and drive-thrus of most of its 25 locations, plus a couple off-site locations, said Dudash.
NCR has been in a push to market not only its video ATMs, but the software for those devices.
Earlier this month, the Duluth, Ga. company announced that Vantiv (formerly Fifth Third Processing) has certified NCR's Aptra Edge ATM software to run over its network on any teller machine.
