The mobile point of sale vendor ShopKeep POS has updated its tablet-based point of sale with several new features designed to streamline its use.
The additions include a customizable interface allowing retailers to "jump" between product categories, integration with QuickBooks enabled by a partnership with Retail Intel, the ability to print tickets to multiple locations and more options for applying discounts.
"This release is all about speed and efficiency," says Jason Richelson, founder and CEO of ShopKeep POS, in a Nov. 15 press release. "It's about faster transactions, shorter lines and automating manual tasks to make it easier and more efficient for store owners to run their businesses."
The new interface helped One Girl Cookies, a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based ShopKeep POS customer, improve its sales process.
"As a busy bakery and cafe we utilize eight full pages of buttons," says Joel Branson, general manager of One Girl Cookie, in the press release. "In many cases the number of touches to make a sale has halved, and were saving around five to ten seconds per transaction where we need to look up multiple items. Our customers love the speed and its easy for new staff to pick up."
