SignaPay, a payment processing company based in Irving, Texas, has acquired PayHub, a merchant services company in San Rafael, Calif.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will allow SignaPay to expand its mobile e-commerce offerings, it says.
PayHub, which was founded in 2011, provides payment processing and billing software for merchants. It also offers encrypted payment swipe technology, as well as an interface that businesses can incorporate with custom apps.
"The payment industry is changing and the addition of PayHub expands our focus and allows SignaPay to build and expand new partnerships," said John Martillo, SignaPay's founder and chief executive, in a Dec. 5 press release. "Being quick to market with easy-to-integrate APIs is critical for developers and merchants."
SignaPay was established in 2007.
