United Kingdom-based payment processor Streamline has added more speed to its service through new gateway software for its customers.
Streamline, a unit of WorldPay UK Ltd., is offering secure Internet Protocol connections provided through Transaction Network Services Inc., the companies announced March 14.
Reston, Va.-based network provider TNS provides Secure SSL Gateway, custom-designed software for IP point-of-sale terminals that provides high-speed payment data exchange and security beyond the minimum Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard requirements, TNS stated in a press release.
Streamline merchants benefit from faster payment processing and cost savings where dedicated dial lines can be removed, the release stated.
“TNS has been our partner for payments connectivity for our dial-up point-of-sale terminal estate, so we had no hesitation in using its industry-leading expertise to deliver an IP-based” product, Matt Rowsell, Streamline chief commercial officer, said in the release.
Security was the top focus in migrating to IP technology, and TNS was the only provider that demonstrated a clear understanding of Streamline’s needs, Rowsell added.
