It’s been a busy month for mobile and online payment technology provider Stripe, which took another step in its expansion plans by partnering with mobile application developer Parse.

The March 21 announcement comes just weeks after San Francisco-based Stripe acquired Kickoff to boost its programming expertise. Stripe, which provides programming tools for payments startups, also recently began a test of its technology in the UK.

The Parse partnership will add Stripe as a payments option to the more than 60,000 Parse-powered applications. Stripe will benefit from Parse’s backend technology for mobile apps, which is compatible with iOS, Android, JavaScript and Windows 8.

“Parse helps developers create mobile applications by eliminating a lot of the server-side boilerplate and providing pre-built libraries for common tasks,” Alex McCaw states in his Stripe blog.
