Investors in a hurry can instantly add funds to a TD Ameritrade account through Apple Pay using the brokerage’s new messaging chatbot.

Users can immediately deposit up to $10,000 a day in their brokerage account from a debit card using Apple Pay via Apple Business Chat, a messaging channel Apple has been testing since last year, according to a Tuesday press release.

To make an instant brokerage-fund deposit, users begin on the TD Ameritrade website or app by clicking on the “Chat with Messages” button on the Contact Us screen. TD Ameritrade plans to add an option to directly fund brokerage accounts using Apple Pay soon, the release said.

The integration works on iPhone 6 and newer phones and iPads. It serves as an alternative to wire transfers and slower funding methods.

“Incredibly, the way we fund brokerage accounts hasn’t changed in the last 43 years, and it had become a huge pain point for our customers,” said Peter deSilva, TD Ameritrade’s head of strategic partnerships and emerging technologies, in the release.

TD’s other recent moves to streamline processes include enabling voice-activated trading on Alexa and developing a VR experience for customers on Oculus Go.

TD is among several dozen corporations in banking, retail and travel working with Apple to develop new delivery channels and customer service functions with Apple Business Chat, according to Apple’s website.
