Tenpay, a Chinese payment service provider, plans to use fraud management services from Visa's CyberSource unit.
"Transaction security remains a top priority for Tenpay and is the foundation for us in developing all kinds of payment services," said Lai Zhiming, general manager at Tenpay, in a Jan. 8 press release. "To control and manage transaction risks, we have already put in place a sophisticated solution. The addition of CyberSource's fraud management technology will enable us to further enhance our risk management infrastructure and systems."
Tenpay plans to use CyberSource Decision Manager to improve fraud detection. The technology is used by many payment service providers in China, Tenpay said in the release.
"Better fraud control will lead to fewer chargebacks and improve confidence in the overall industry," said Poon Khye Wei, regional director of Greater China & Korea for CyberSource, in the release.
