TSYS extends Synovus contract with new digital platforms
Payments technology provider Total System Services has signed a multiyear contract with Synovus Financial Corp. to provide payment processing and also deliver two new customer service platforms to the financial institution.
The TSYS Customer Service Platform will help Synovus create workflows specific to each customer through a case management system, while the Digital Engagement Platform provides cardholder digital experiences from account activation, management and control, to payment management and other features.
"Our focus it to consistently deliver a superior and seamless customer experience to all of our cardholders," Kattia Sigui, senior director of retail at Synovus, said in a Tuesday press release. "The innovative product portfolio that TSYS provides allows us to accomplish while continuing to grow our business."
Other details of the long-term contract were not disclosed.
Both TSYS and Synovus are based in Columbus, Ga. Synovus provides commercial and retail banking, as well as investment and mortgage services throughout the Southeast.
TSYS made its focus on developing retail banking offerings clearer last year when it acquired merchant services provider Cayan.
"The expanded agreement with Synovus is a reflection of a great partnership built through the years by bringing innovative, new solutions that meet the wants and needs of a truly valued client," Allen Pettis, executive vice president and chief customer officer at TSYS, said in the release.
TSYS reported $4 billion in revenue in 2018, saying it processed more than 32.3 billion transactions across 13 countries.
