Xoom Corp. expanded its money transferring services by offering instant deposit accessibility to Metrobank and PNB, two of the top banks in the Philippines.
BDO, another leading Philippine bank, already provides its customers with Xoom access to send money to recipients' accounts.
Xoom customers can use the instant deposit feature from the San Francisco-based digital money transfer provider at any time from their computer, mobile phone or tablet. Both the Peso and U.S. Dollar are accessible for Filipino customers to transfer.
"Xoom is committed to providing 'instant' in all of our services," says Julian King, senior vice president of marketing and corporate development for Xoom. "People can rest assured that their loved ones with accounts at Metrobank, PNB and BDO will receive their money without waiting or having to worry about cut-off times."
Over one million active customers in 31 countries sent more than $5.5 billion through Xoom's banking platform during 2013, the company says.
